First we bumped into the guys from the Fray...
I Think someone was missing through....
(L-R) Me, Ben, Joe, and Dave and my niece
.....ahhhhh now we found Issac
...and we even found Gavin DeGraw floating around.
What can I tell you about myself? I like good food, good wine, great music, and I like to travel to find it! Simple right? I’ve been lucky enough to live in a variety of great cities across America while playing radio: Des Moines, IA; Colorado Springs, CO; Nashville, TN; and my favorite of course Fort Myers, FL where I have been now for three years (shhhh I did actually live here in the mid-late 90’s too).
For some reason people find it hard to believe that I enjoy taking cross country weekend excursions. I’m lucky enough to have friends all over the country that I love to visit. My other passion is music; especially live music and concerts. Southwest Florida isn’t the best place to find live music so most weekends I feel like Miami or Tampa is my second home to get my fix. Over the past few months I’ve seen everyone from Rob Thomas to the Fray to Train to Gavin DeGraw to Plies to Jack’s Mannequin to Lady Gaga and the list goes on and on.
When I am looking to relax you’ll find me at one of my favorite restaurants in Southwest Florida (check out the list below) enjoying a great meal and an even better bottle of wine. Cheers!
So you're saying to yourself,Chad, you say you like food and wine, so where should I eat in Southwest Florida? I'm glad you asked, here's what I like:
Bistro 41 in the Bell Tower. If you have company in from out of town, especially the kind of company that may not be into eclectic cuisine, then this is the place to take them. Bistro has a great selection of food and wine that will please anyone. It&rsquos bound to be an experience and I promise Cindie, Michelle and the gang will take great care of you. www.bistro41.com
Café Lurcat on 5th Ave in Naples. If you are looking for a fancy date restaurant then this is your place. The atmosphere at Café Lurcat is great, especially when you look up and see a Chagall inspired ceiling mural or you sit outside on the patio and watch people pass below you on 5th. The food and the wine list are simply to die for.
