DREW'S BIO:
Born in Long Island, New York, I have been around music my whole life. I was in bands in high school as well as college. I moved to Florida in 1986 to finish college at the University of South Florida with a degree in Business Finance. While attending college , I played in local bands and soon traveled the state performing. My radio career began in 1988 with 91.5 “The Spark” WSRX in Naples. It was a great experience and I think changed the way people looked at music in SW Florida. In 1994, I moved over to B103.9 WXKB and was there for 14 years.

Not many people know this, but I also have a music career on the side.

In 1995, I began producing original music at home. I worked locally at Sound Check Recording Studio as an engineer and soon after began releasing small independent label projects. In 1999, one such project caught the attention of Monte Lipman, President of Universal Music. He put me in touch with a songwriter and performer from Miami, Charlie Pennachio. He had a former #1 hit in the U.S. in 1991 with his group Linear (“Sending all my love”) and a partnership was born. Our writing skills got the attention of EMI Music Publishing, and we were both offered contracts in 2000. I began writing for EMI soon after with the likes of Samantha Cole (Top 10 hit in 1997, “Happy with you”), Chris Kirkpatrick (Singer/Songwriter of ‘Nsync), Willa Ford (Top 10 song in 2001, “I Want To Be Bad”) and many others. In 2002, One of my songs , “Bring It To Me”, which was co-written with Samantha Cole and Charlie Pennachio, was released on the Dark Angel TV Soundtrack. Also in 2002, My song “Believe In Me”, which was co-written with Charlie Pennachio and John Rich of country duo Big and Rich, was released on John Michael Montgomery’s “Pictures” CD.

In 2003, I produced DF Dub’s “Country Girl”, a song that peaked at Billboards #18 and lead to the release of a full-length album for Columbia records. I co-wrote and produced the entire album.

In 2005, I worked with Selena Gomez, currently on “Wizard’s of Waverly Place” with Disney, on a few songs for a future solo recording career. The TV show has begun to air and the outcome of the songs is yet to be determined

I am still writing and producing today and hey, who knows, maybe find some undiscovered talent here in SW Florida.
