A man in jail awaiting trial in a deadly home invasion is now accused of video voyeurism.
Richard Cochran Jr., faces a sex offense charge for video voyerism, according to a arrest report. He has been jailed since at least Dec. 2021 when he was arrested for his alleged role in a home invasion on Brandon Street in Lee County.
His accomplice, 16-year-old Robert Mosely, was killed by someone in the home during the incident, leading to a homicide charge for Cochran, 40.
The document states the state attorney’s office was going through Cochran’s phone for evidence in the homicide, they found an indecent video of someone who appeared to be underage.
Through an investigation, deputies said, they determined the person in the photo was a 17-year-old. The video appeared to be shot from underneath the sink and was pointed at a shower.
The girl told deputies “she saw (Cochran) as a parental figure who would provide her with a place to sleep and provided her good,” according to the report.
The video voyeurism occurred in August of 2021, according to a time stamp on the video. This was about a month before deputies say he was involved in the home invasion.
