Man faces drug charges after traffic stop on Coronado Pkwy in Cape Coral

A man was arrested early Monday morning after Cape Coral police say he was found with drugs in his car on Coronado Parkway.

According to the Cape Coral Police Department, 33-year-old Robert Dedaj was arrested after being pulled over at around 12:15 a.m. for a traffic infraction on the 4700 block of Coronado Parkway. Officers say the pungent smell of burnt cannabis was present when Dedaj presented his driver’s license and a half-smoked joint was visible in the vehicle’s center console.

CCPD found that Dedaj had an active warrant out of Sarasota County for the sale of cocaine and the unlawful use of a two-way communication device. Officers searched his car and found multiple drugs and pieces of paraphernalia. Dedaj was taken to the Lee County Jail.

Besides the outstanding warrant, Dedaj faces charges of possession of a controlled substance (three counts for fentanyl, amphetamine pills and Suboxone pills) and possession of drug paraphernalia (three counts for spoons, scales and baggies with fentanyl residue.
