COLLIER COUNTY
A 43-year-old Naples man died Saturday morning from a crash in Collier County.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened on State Road 82 west of Church Road in Collier County, just before 7 a.m.
A Dodge pickup truck with a trailer was driving east on SR-82 nearing Church Rd.
At the same time, a Ford pickup truck was driving west on SR-82 also nearing Church Rd.
The Dodge pickup began going left of the centerline and the left side of the Dodge pickup crashed into the Ford pickup.
The driver of the Ford pickup was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger in the Ford was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
