FORT MYERS
Fort Myers police say a person was hit by a train near Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Evans Avenue in Fort Myers just after 10 p.m. Friday.
The train is blocking Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. as police investigate and clear the scene. FMPD says they expect the road to be closed for at least two hours.
WINK News saw an ambulance speeding away as we arrived. Fort Myers police say the person hit was taken to Gulf Coast Medical Center. They say it is unknown if the person intended to be hit.
